In November 2015 the Freedom started with survey support for the Riverside Quay Extension Project for Jan de Nul in the Port of Tyne. Port of Tyne is one of the major deep sea ports of the United Kingdom. The Freedom performs survey activities with our own survey equipment.

The project for Jan de Nul consists of deepening the port for the Riverside Quay extension. The extension is needed to provide additional quay alongside the existing Riverside Quay at the entrance to the Tyne Dock. The need for the extension was identified from the increase in handling of bulk and conventional cargoes, containers and project cargoes.
