In 2013 we were employed by Jan de Nul for the Sabetta project and in 2014 DEME choose to work with us on the same project. The contract awarded to DEME was a contract for the construction of the approach and harbour basin of the service port of the new LNG terminal in Yamal Peninsula and sea channel in Ob Bau, 2.500 km northeast of Moscow. This new port in the north of Russia is an export for LNG carriers towards the East and the West. Our vessels Guardian and Friendship II were deployed to carry out hydrographic survey to support the dredging activities of the dredgers. The vessels also needed to perform crew tender activities.
In 2015 the Libertas and Guardian operated on the Sabetta project for DEME. The vessels and crew performed hydrographic survey and crew tender activities.
The Libertas and Guardian started in 2016 operations on the Sabetta project for Jan de Nul. As previous years the vessels and crew performed hydrographic survey and crew tender activities.
In 2017 Jan de Nul choose to work with us on this remote project. The Libertas and crew performed survey and crew tender activities in the port of Sabetta.
The biggest challenge for this project is the remote location and the severe weather conditions. Our previous remoted projects learned us to train our crew well and to supply spare parts on site in case of breakdown.
