From 2014 the project for DEME in the Suez Canal started. At this project in Egypt the Guardian and Friendship II are employed. The activities are survey and crew tendering. DEME is part of the Consortium Dredging International - Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company. The Consortium has a contract for lot number 6 of the deepening and widening of the Suez Canal.
